Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Academician Isa Habibbeyli, president of ANAS, the members of the Presidium of ANAS, the heads of departments of the Presidium Administration, the heads of the institutes and organizations of the academy, and young scientists visited the tomb of national leader Heydar Aliyev, as May 10 marks the 101^st anniversary of the birth of the prominent political figure, architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, and the great son of the Azerbaijani people.

In the Alley of Honors the representatives of the Academy put flowers at the tomb of National Leader Heydar Aliyev as an expression of deep respect and esteem to unforgettable memory of Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to the National Leader.

Then the representatives honoured the memory of Zarifa Aliyeva, National Leader`s wife, outstanding ophthalmologist, academician and put flowers at the grave.

They also paid respect to prominent statesman Aziz Aliyev and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev and put flowers at the graves.
