A literary and artistic composition dedicated to Mahammad Fuzuli was presented in Ankara

The International Fuzuli Symposium continues in Ankara with the organization of Gazi University of Türkiye, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the Institute for Research on Turkish Culture and the Azerbaijani Cultural Center under the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Türkiye.

As part of the international symposium, a literary, artistic and musical composition dedicated to Mahammad Fuzuli was presented for the participants and guests in the concert hall of Gazi University. 

The President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli made a speech at the event. He underlined that a decree was signed by President Ilham Aliyev to commemorate the 530th anniversary of Mahammad Fuzuli and in this regard, events related to the great poet are organized both in Azerbaijan and various countries around the world. He said that Mahammad Fuzuli created perfect examples of native-language poetry, enriched the Azerbaijani literary language, culture and art. The Academician Isa Habibbeyli said that it is impossible to imagine the art of mugham without Fuzuli. He highly appreciated the concert program dedicated to Mahammad Fuzuli and emphasized that the event is essential in promoting the poet’s work. 

Later, Almakhanim Ahmadli, a soloist of the International Mugham Center and the winner of the 6th Mugham Competition, performed music dedicated to Mahammad Fuzuli. Saida Omer, the host of the “Azərbaycan rüzgarı” (“Azerbaijani Wind”) program on the “TRT Türkü” radio channel read poems by great poet Fuzuli.
