Informative seminars were held within the project competition announced by ANAS and TÜBİTAK

Hybrid format informative seminars regarding the project competition announced on August 6, 2024, within the Joint Program on Cooperation Protocol signed between the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) in 2024 were held.

The head of the Department of Foreign Relations and Work with International Scientific Organizations of the Presidium administration of ANAS, docent Esmira Alirzayeva said in her speech that the current competition involves the scientific institutions of ANAS and universities and research institutes of Türkiye. She provided information about previous project competitions announced by ANAS-TÜBİTAK and their successful results.  She also gave detailed information about the conditions and rules of the competition and the criteria for evaluating projects, comprehensively explained the requirements for filling out the application forms during the preparation of project proposals, demonstrated the process on the application form visually, and answered the participants’ questions.

Esmira Alirzayeva noted that project proposals should be jointly prepared in English by partner groups from Türkiye and Azerbaijan and must address topics relevant to both countries. She underlined that the submitted project proposals undergo a technical review at first, and those that pass this stage are sent to foreign experts for scientific evaluation based on five criteria, and the projects distinguished by the highest scores would receive support.

It was noted that the competition would continue until November 5, 2024.

Representatives from the scientific institutions of ANAS, regional divisions and centers, the Central Scientific Library, and the relevant departments of the Presidium administration participated in the events both online and in person.
