At the Classical grammar school #160 for students of IX and X classes held a lesson titled "Geography - from observations to a basic science and application" by Director of ANAS Institute of Geography, Academician Ramiz Mammadov on February 9.

Spoke on "Geography - from observations to a basic science and application" Academician Ramiz Mammadov informed in detail on hypotheses of creation of the universe, about the gradually changes occurring on the world map, as well as climate change, which became the subject of extensive discussions in recent years.

Meanwhile, he shared his thoughts about the geography of the country's development, natural resources, physical and geographical and economic zoning and responded the student’s questions.

Note that, lessons are organized according to the targeted program "From Science to Education" put forward by Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov in the 70th anniversary ceremony of ANAS.

According to the agreement between ANAS and the Ministry of Education lessons are taught by scientists of ANAS.
