Winners of the competition “Scientists of the future” awarded

5th Republican competition “Scientists of the future” took place from February 11 up to 13.

The competition carried out by joint organization of the Ministries of Education, Youth and Sports, Heydar Aliyev Center, ANAS and Independent Trade Union of Education Employeers.

Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov spoke about the significance of the event, expressed his confident on its contribution to science, education and congratulated the winners as well.

Note that “Scientists of the future” competition is attended by country's IX-XII grade students from secondary school of 11 cities and regions with 129 scientific projects. 87 of them are collectively, while 42 of the individual project. It aimed to assimilate scientific thinking and research skills to students. Each year competition is held within Intel ISEF – International Science and Engineering Fair with participation of students from world’s over 70 countries.

On the latter-day of 3 days of competition was organized "Open Door" due to students and teachers to have an opportunity to see the projects.

Projects submitted to the competition have been assessed by the jury, over 8 nominations, eventually, 45 projects were deserved to I, II and III places. In general, 93 students were awarded on collective and individual projects.

Winner of the competition, who is author of the three projects, got chance to attend ISEF, to be held in May in the U.S.

In closing, winners were donated diploma, medal and other prizes.
