Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A new hardware has been installed by the Institute of Genetic Resources for the first time the "Future Generation Sequencing” (Ion Proton and Ion PGM). Newly designed hardware that developed by America's "Life Technologies" Company spends 3 hours for reading human genome via this device. Fulfillments have been carried out by support of Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the pilot project "Strengthen the material-technical base of fundamental research directed to sustainable use of plant and soil genetic diversity in Azerbaijan".  

2-year project that to be completed in 2015 will be chaired by director of the institute, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Zeynal Akperov.
