Canada has published an electronic version of "Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea" atlas

Publisher "Sophia Publishing Group Inc." Canada has published an electronic version of the atlas "Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea" co-authored by Director of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H.Aliyev of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mammadov and officer of the Caspian Sea Studies Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran Homayoun Khoshrevan.

Introductory part of the atlas contains general information about the Caspian Sea and its physiographic and climatic features, as well as detailed information about the history of the organization of the Caspian Sea research in the Republic of Azerbaijan, functioning in the sphere of scientific research institutes and government organizations, their areas of activity and so on. There is expansion in the area of such research, recently launched in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Atlas consists of three sections and 270 cards. The first chapter presents the geomorphological features of the coastal zone maps and the bottom of the Caspian Sea, as well as comments.

The second section deals with the physical properties of the sea. Here are maps showing the flow of water cycles, water temperature, salinity and other parameters with commentaries thereto. This section is reflected as one of the main problems of the Caspian Sea - level problem.

The third chapter describes the climate and weather of the Caspian Sea. This chapter provides maps of temperature, humidity and transparency, cloudiness, wind direction and speed, as well as solar radiation.

The new atlas is an important source for farm staff-researchers of the world, dealing with the problems of the Caspian Sea.
