Paper “Drought-induced changes in photosynthetic apparatus and antioxidant components of wheat (Triticum durum Desf.) varieties”), co-authored by Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies Academician Irada Huseynova, including associates of this scientific venture – Dr. Biology S.Suleymanov, Ph.D. in Biology S. Rustamova, D. Aliyeva, A. Mammadov and Academician Jalal Aliyev, was published in the official journal of International Photosynthesis Society, “Photosynthesis Research”.

Note that, journal is published by “Springer” publishing-house and has impact factor 3.501. Structural-functional changes in photosynthetic apparatus and antioxidant components of the drought-induced wheat genotypes were analyzed in the paper and obtained interesting outputs.

Remind that, these studies have been commenced 20 years ago chaired by Academician Jalal Aliyev at the Department of Fundamental problems of biological productivity of the Institute of Biology and Department of Plant physiology and biotechnology of the SR Institute of Agriculture. Results of fruitful works paved the way for creation of high-yielding varieties of wheat. Complex studies are ongoing in this field.
