Azerbaijani scientists attended the international symposium devoted to Ali-Shir Nava’i in Afganistan

Deputy Director of Science at the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli, Dr. Philology Pasha Karimov and associate of the Institute of Literature Dr. Philology Almaz Ulvi attended the international symposium in Afghanistan Islamic Republic on the occasion of 575th anniversary of great Uzbek poet Ali-Shir Nava’i.

P. Karimov made a lecture on “Ali-Shir Nava’i and XVII century Azerbaijan literature” at the symposium, which brought together scientists of Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The scientists have a pilgrimage to the tomb and garden of Babur, the founder of the Mogol Empire, which locate in the capital of the country - Kabul, architecture complex built by Uzbek ruler Hussein Baygara in Mazari-Sharif, Ali-Shir Navai’s burial in Herat city, architectural monuments of the Temurids period, the great jame mosque, castle Ikhtiyaraddin, and other places.

The anniversary events were organized in 3 cities of Afghanistan. P. Karimov met with President, Vice-Presidents, Prime Minister of the republic and the executive head of Kabul. Pasha Karimov’s speech was welcomed by the participants in a general meeting held at the residence of Abdurrashid Dostum, First Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and country representative of the power of the Turkic peoples.

Azerbaijan scientists were donated certificates at the meeting held with executive power of the city of Kabul.
