May 26, Presidium of ANAS hosted a meeting with the delegation headed by the Vice-President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Tsay Fan.
First President of ANAS Academician Akif Alizadeh, welcoming the guest, spoke about the reforms carried out in the country in the name of science. He noted that recent studies in ANAS on priority directions of science gained more widespread. Speaking about the existing relations of cooperation in various spheres, the scientist stressed the importance of further expansion of ties between the two countries.
Head of ANAS expressed confidence that the Department of Social Sciences of ANAS together with the relevant CASS structures will carry out interesting projects and important scientific results will be achieved.
Speaking on his recent visit to Moscow and signing an agreement of cooperation via Russian Fundamental Studies Center, academician invited the guest to collaborate as well.
Then Tsay Fan stated that, CASS has been functioning for 60 years and Chinese Government always focused on the development of social sciences.
Highly appreciating studies carried out in ANAS, the guest stated his willingness to set links with this academic temple and put to the fore the necessity of implementing joint projects in relevant scientific spheres, organizing of seminar and conferences, including exchanging staff and experience.
In a meeting Vice-President of ANAS Academician Isa Habibbeyli made speech on cooperation vistas between scientific bodies of the two countries in history, literature, culture and economy.
In closing, CASS and ANAS signed an agreement of cooperation due to reinforce scientific ties and consistent joint performance.
