Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended an official reception on the occasion of the national holiday of Azerbaijan, Republic Day, at Buta Palace.

The head of state made a speech at the reception.

Then, a ceremony to present the state awards was held.

State awards in science and literature for 2016 were presented under a relevant Order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Awards in science were presented to the director of the Institute of Geography of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mammadov, Deputy Director of this scientific institution, corresponding member of ANAS Elbrus Alizadeh, Doctor of Geographical Sciences Zakir Eminov and the doctor of Geography Sciences Maharram Hasanov and Prize for Literature - People's poet Fikrat Goja.
