Scientific-practical conference on "Demographic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan: prospects of settlement and regional problems of the population” will be held in Sheki, September 12-13. Organizers of the event - Institute of Geography named after Academician H. Aliyev of ANAS, the Knowledge Foundation under President, Executive Power of Sheki city and Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS.

It was noted that at the conference dedicated to meeting the Deputy Director of the Institute of Geography, corresponding member of ANAS Elbrus Alizadeh told about the latest preparations.

It was noted that the purpose of the event is to develop, discuss and take appropriate decisions about solutions to problems arising from issues such as the problems of demographic development in the country, the organization of effective areas for the resettlement of the population, ecogeographic problems of resettlement areas, the formation of the national the ethnic composition of the population, multiculturalism and tolerance, the problem of employment, the use of recreational resources, providing the population with jobs.

Breakout sessions will focus on the following topics: "The demographic situation and problems of socio-economic development of Sheki-Zagatala economic region", "Natural and devastating events in Sheki-Zagatala economic region and protection measures", "Efficient use of natural, economic and ecological landscape building in Sheki-Zagatala economic region".
