Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The XI International Great Turkic Language Congress in Budapest has completed.

At the Congress, our country has introduced a delegation consisting of turkologists and linguists of the country under the leadership of Director of the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi, corresponding member of ANAS Mohsun Naghisoylu.

The congress, which was held at the Institute of Turkish Culture named after Yunus Emre in Budapest, attended by scientists from various Turkic-speaking republics, Poland, Romania, Russia, Albania, Hungary and other countries. Two plenary meeting of the Congress were held under the chairmanship of Azerbaijani scientists - the head of department of the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi, Professor Roza Eyvazova and Associate Professor of Baku Slavic University Mahbuba Mammadova. Overall, nine plenary sessions were presented and discussed about a hundred reports.

At the congress were made interesting presentations by Mohsun Naghisoylu, Vahid Adilov, Roza Eyvazova, Jahangir Jahangirli, Ikram Gasimov, Mahbuba Mammadova, Ziyafat Gasimov, Aygul Hajiyeva on the ways of development of Azerbaijani linguistics science in recent years, and various problems of the Turkic languages. Within the Congress, our scientists exchanged views on ways to further scientific cooperation with colleagues.

It was decided to hold the next Congress of the Turkic language in October next year in Berlin.

On the last day of the event, Azerbaijan Embassy in Hungary held a meeting with our scientists. Azerbaijani Ambassador to this country Vilayat Guliyev listened impressions of science figures in connection with the Congress, spoke about the Azerbaijani-Hungarian relations in the field of humanitarian cooperation, has received more widespread in recent years, as well as successfully implemented educational programs. Guliyev invited Azerbaijani scientists to cooperate with the Academy of Sciences of Hungary and the country's institutions of higher education.
