“Round table" of the Forum discussed the topic "Convergence of technologies and future projections: the main challenges of the XXI century"

On one of the "round tables", held in the framework of the 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum, was discussed on theme "Convergence of technologies and future projections: the main challenges of the XXI century".

The "round table" was attended by scientists from the US, Italy, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Austria and other countries, Nobel Prize winners.

President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh noted that the main purpose of the event is to discuss various political, scientific and economic issues, to assist in their decision. Despite the fact that we live in the XXI century, many people in the world are far from the model of multiculturalism, he said. The political, scientific, economic problems alienate people from one another. We see that the people in the world are still deprived of electricity, access to education, lack of food. We have gathered to discuss the work to be done to solve these problems. Azerbaijan is already the fifth time serves as an important platform for the countries in the world in terms of discussions of multiculturalism, tolerance and humanism. Through online, Azerbaijan shows the world that the multiculturalism alternative, humanism and tolerance there. Against the background of the conflicts raging in the world, terrorism, people live in fear of the future. Participation in the Forum of politicians, scientists and experts from different countries promotes internationally the lives of people in conditions of peace, brotherhood and multiculturalism. 

Speaking of "round table" topic, the President of ANAS noted that to build the future needs cooperation and dialogue. Baku forum, now in its fifth year, is of great importance on a global scale. The Forum has become a platform for international discussions on the most pressing issues of humanitarian sphere. The forum involved prominent members of the political elite of the world, Nobel Prize winners, famous public and political figures. Another feature of the Forum is its organization at a high level.

Speaking of national and spiritual values of the Azerbaijani people, Academician A. Alizadeh spoke about the stages of historical development of our country, situated at the crossroads of East and West, high rates of development in recent years. He stressed that Azerbaijan has always been a supporter of peace.

The Nobel Prize in Physics George F.Smut in the report on "Prospects for scientific and technological development, reflecting our challenges," said the management of electric power in the modern world, issues of distribution and proper use of electricity. Scientists have conducted a comparative analysis of the situation in this sphere in the leading markets.

Chief Editor of the Mexican newspaper “The News” Teresa Anna Margolis told about the increasing number of terrorist acts in the world, that a large number of nuclear materials in the hands of terrorists. She said that nuclear weapons pose a great threat to peace and stability. The progressive forces of the world must work together to prevent this threat from terrorist groups.

The report titled "Technology and projections: the main social and political challenges of the XXI century," the representative of the Institute named Kathryn and Shelby Davis of the US Heritic Foundation Ariel Cohen spoke about the programs produced in the United States and various countries in order to gather information. He said that this information can be about the product, and about individuals. This is due to social infrastructure wars. The threat of cyber warfare is real. Programs of various hazards can destroy our infrastructure. Therefore it is necessary to prevent these programs.

Italian Senator Gianluca Castaldi in the report on the theme "The future belongs to renewable energy," stressed the importance of the proper use of energy sources.

Then, the representative of the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (Germany) Reza Talebi-Daryani made speech on "The Best TEMPUS 2001-2015's sample projects: a joint operation with European universities for training of Azerbaijani students in accordance with the Bologna process and to improve their research practices”. He spoke about the work in partnership with the Ministry of Education to bring the Azerbaijani education system in line with European standards and achievements. Noting that the latest draft TEMPUS in Azerbaijan covers the period 2012-2016, R.Talebi-Daryani stressed that the main objective is to strengthen the university laboratory for learning. He noted that the main aim of the Bologna process is to bring the learning process in line with European standards of education.

At the "round table" were heard reports of the Italian specialist Carmen Lasorelly, representative Caltech Institute of USA, winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry Rudolph Marcus, the representative of the Russian National Research Centre "Kurchatov Institute" Jaroslav Shtrombakh, chairman of the Center for International Law and Global Political Studies of Austria Anis Bayrektarevich, representative of the Center for analysis and forecasts of Kazakhstan Kazbek Kazkenov, an employee of the Baku state University, Shahin Mammadov. Discussions were held on the reports, responded questions.

Summing up the "round table", Academician A. Alizadeh noted that, round table was held with fruitful discussions, valuable ideas and suggestions.

In conclusion, the "round table" was adopted by the Declaration of the 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
