Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS held the scientific session devoted to the 90th anniversary of scientist-oil worker, Azerbaijan State prize laureate, Honoured Scientist, Academician Midhat Abbasov on October 14.

Corresponding member of ANAS Zohhak Abbasov, opening the event, spoke about the importance of the anniversary meeting. He said that, holding of today's scientific session is a manifestation of respect for the memory of the deceased Academician.

Then were delivered reports devoted to the scientific and socio-political activity of the outstanding scientist.

Then Academician Hatam Guliyev delivered a report on "Non-classical approach to the study of Earth Sciences", corresponding member of ANAS Garib Jalalov on "Hydro-methods of recovery and parametric identification of models of filtration" and a corresponding member of ANAS Galib Efendiyev "Scientific and practical research carried out under the leadership of Academician M.Abbasov".

At the event, Vice-President of Academy of Natural Sciences of the Russia, Doctor of Technical Sciences Azizaga Shahverdiyev and others shared their memories about the scientist.
