Science History Institute of ANAS held a round table devoted to State Independence Day of Azerbaijan

On October 21, Science History Institute of ANAS held a round table devoted to the 25th anniversary of State Independence Day of Azerbaijan.

At the event, director of the institute Dr. History Maryam Seyidbeyli briefed about independence history of Azerbaijan. First democratic republic was established in Muslim East in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan Republic has restored its independence on October 18, 1991 as a successor of Azerbaijan People Republic, said M. Seyidbeyli.

Making speech on achievements of Azerbaijan in 25 years, she drew attention to the key directions of science and education in the country. It was noted that, National leader Heydar Aliyev’s political course is decently continued by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev.

The, Deputy Director of Science PhD in Theology Sabina Nematzadeh stated within 25 years, there were a wide range of opportunities at the world libraries and archives due to investigate manuscripts. Documents and manuscripts imported from many countries of the world are translated into Azerbaijani and submitted to the public.

Lecturer also told about the role of Azerbaijan manuscripts, including UNESCO’s “World’s memory” program register, in promotion of our culture.

Later on, were delivered lectures on following topics: “The role of independence in the development of Azerbaijani literary language", "The development of Azerbaijan historiography and source study in last 25 years ", " Scientific technological progress in national economy during independence, and role of innovation", etc.
