ANAS Institute of Philosophy by the organizational support of scientific institutions held conference "Multiculturalism of Azerbaijan and the dialogue of cultures" dedicated to the anniversary of the state independence of Azerbaijan on October 25.

Opening the event , Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh noted that, historically existed in Azerbaijan friendly relations, inter-civilization and inter-cultural dialogue between different nations.

Speaking about the importance of Order of President Ilham Aliyev on declaring the "Year of multiculturalism" in 2016 in Azerbaijan, I. Mammadzadeh noted that, on the initiative of the head of state multiculturalism has become one of the main directions of the state policy.

Then the director of the Institute delivered a paper on "The Philosophy of the independence of Azerbaijan and multiculturalism". Noting that, the transformation of multiculturalism in the public policy associated with the name of great leader Heydar Aliyev, I. Mammadzadeh stressed that, this policy is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

Noting that, multiculturalism without philosophy is only a historical, sociological look I. Mammadzadeh said that, multiculturalism philosophy requires a common philosophical view.

Then the chairman of Egypt Cultural Center in Baku Ahmed Sami Ellaidi, noted that the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism is an exampleand expressed that, opinion put forward at the conference will enrich the multicultural values between the two countries.

Then following reports were presented on the topics - "Some aspects of the research and promotion of multiculturalism in XXI century", "Multiculturalism in the context of chetyrehrazdelnoy typology of cultures and aesthetic aspects", "Sociological issues of multiculturalism model in a globalizing world", etc.

Then, were held discussions on the topic.
