Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Today is 70th of famous scientist and public figure, Deputy Minister of AR Culture and Tourism, corresponding member of ANAS Sevda Mammadaliyeva.

Sevda Mammadaliyeva was born November 14, 1946 in Baku. In 1967 she graduated from the Baku State University. In 1993 he received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, in 1997 - the title of professor. And in 2001she was elected a corresponding member of ANAS.

At the 1970-1983 she worked as a junior researcher, then as a senior research fellow in the research institutes of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. S. Mamedaliyeva began pedagogical activities since 1983 at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, consistently held positions of the associate professor, professor managing department.

In 1996, for achievements in science, culture and education awarded the medal "Bilik" of Society of Azerbaijan Education, has been laureate of the Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev Prize.

In 1997 for a series of works on social philosophy she was elected a full member of the International Academy of Ecoenergetics, in 1999 - a foreign member of the Russian Ecological Academy, in 2000 - a full member of the International Academy of NOSFERY.

In 1999 Sevda Mammadaliyeva by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev was appointed Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In order to create a scientific and practical base in the field of culture at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture by S. Mammadaliyeva was created the Division of Cultural Policies.

Since 1999, with the direct participation S.Mammadaliyeva has developed a number of national and international research programs in the field of culture. Among them, the "State program of strategic development of Azerbaijani culture", "State Program on Poverty Reduction and Economic Development" occupy an important place.

The scientist is one of the authors of the "National Report on Cultural Policy", which is an important stage of the regional project "the Stage" of the Council of Europe.

Since 2007 is a member of the Bureau of the Council of Europe Steering Committee for Culture.

S.Mammadaliyeva in 2005 was awarded the medal of the French scientific community. January 28, 2016 for merits in development of culture of Azerbaijan was awarded the Order "For Service to the Motherland" 3rd degree.
