Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Many years of experience in Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences for conducting research and army of thousands scientist and specialists is believed to be unique base to increase the role of science in the national economy by applying modern mechanisms. Infrastructure updates successfully implemented at the Experience-Industry Plant of ANAS allow to product 45 kinds of innovative products. In 2016, were gained ISO certificates for production process, quality, environment, occupational safety and occupational safety management systems to meet the highest standards, all the necessary material-technical base was set up in the territory of the Plant.

The selection of the strategic objectives set by the government and “National economy and a strategic roadmap for key sectors of the economy", which is being developed to achieve these goals, also covers development of high-tech work to be done. Developing industrial parks and industrial districts at the background of favorable investment and promotion policies are center of attention of the government.

As the most important step in this direction, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's order dated November 8, 2016, to establish High-Tech Park under the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), is a very important for the scientific community, is regarded as a strategic mission. Establishing the HT Park is not just a trend, but also opens an important window of opportunity to respond to modern challenges. HT Park has been established with the purpose of increasing state support to the sustainable development and competitiveness of the economy, enhancing high-tech spheres based on modern scientific and technological achievements, and creating modern complexes on holding scientific research and development of new technologies. In order to achieve these goals all available opportunities at Experience-Industry Plant, numerous scientists and experts from research institutes, laboratories and testing facilities of up to 350, the processes of innovation for the management of professional staff and all other assets will be deployed. It will be provided external and internal infrastructure throughout the HT Park and other services for the effective implementation of business activities, innovative projects, testing, development of examination and prototypes and coordination of science commercialization activities via grant programs and international cooperation, including recruiting potential donors will organized as well.

The pinnacle of science and high technologies and innovative products to be carried out through HT Park so, due to ensure the effectiveness of its organization and function mechanisms ANAS will work in close cooperation via relevant central executive bodies, as well as Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

After that, ANAS could reduce the burden of its expense in the state budget by increasing share of import substitute products with preventing the currency outflow from the country, including increasing the share of science in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and the national economy could pave the way for diversifying the economy.

We are confident that, being established as a result of government leadership’s reforms HT Park will become a center of science and high technologies.
