Honored worker, Academician Chingiz Gajar’s book "Nakhchivan - one of the oldest cities in the world", publishing in Russian, was presented at Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS.

Opening the event, Chairman of Nakhchivan Branch, Academician Ismayil Hajiyev told about the significance of the book devoted to the history of Nakhchivan. Scientific editorship of the edition, which was published in the "Ajami" house and dedicated to national leader Heydar Aliyev's blessed memory, is Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, and it covers information about the history, archeology, ethnography, culture, as well as prominent personalities of Nakhchivan.

Then chief department of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archaeology Branch, corresponding member of ANAS Veli Bakhshaliyev made a wide report on "A valuable work on the history of one of the oldest cities in the world - Nakhchivan".

Speaking at the event, leading researcher of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archaeology of the Branch, PhD in History, Associate Professor Musa Guliyev and head department of the institute, PhD in History, Associate Professor Emin Shikhaliyev noted that the publication of the book "Nakhchivan - one of the oldest cities in the world" in Russian is of great importance in terms of promoting the history of Nakhchivan.
