The brochures on Irevan Khanate presented

Presidential Library of Administrative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a presentation of works dubbed "Irevan Khanate: Khan Palace, which was destroyed by Armenian vandals", "Irevan Khanate: Irevan mosques, destroyed by the Armenian vandals", “Irevan Khanate: Irevan fortress - a bastion of heroism" and "Rulers of Chukhursad and khans of Irevan".

Event co-organized by ANAS Institute of History, Presidential Library and “Azerbaijan Historians” Public Union.

The ceremony in which was gathered representatives of relevant bodies, celebrate scientist and specialists, director of the library Mayil Ahmadov acted and spoke about the significance of the brochures, publishing in Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages and submitting to the public in 4 titles. He stated that, as the work “Irevan khanate” and other fundamental studies these works also have been written at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev.

It was noted that, brochures were published within the framework of “Publication of brochures about history of İrevan khanate in 4 titles” project by ATIB. The project manager and scientific editor of the publication is director of the Institute of History, corresponding member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov, and technical editor – PhD in Math Mehri Khanbabayeva. The author of two brochures dubbed "Irevan Khanate: Khan Palace, which was destroyed by Armenian vandals", and "Irevan Khanate: Irevan mosques, destroyed by the Armenian vandals", is a senior researcher at the Institute of History Nazim Mustafa, while author of another two ones - “Irevan Khanate: Irevan fortress - a bastion of heroism" and "Rulers of Chukhursad and khans of Irevan", is a leading scientific worker of this scientific venture Guntekin Najafli.

It was reported that in the recent past - in the beginning of the XIX century the territory of modern Armenia was the lands of Azerbaijan state - Irevan khanate. Important historical events, processes described in "Kitabi Dede Gorgud", which is considered a heroic epos of Azerbaijan and other Turkic peoples, were occurred in this region - on the territory of Irevan khanate.

Reported that, "Irevan Khanate: Irevan mosques, destroyed by the Armenian vandals" brochure tells the story of the bitter fate of unique architectural monuments of Azerbaijan people – ancient Irevan mosques, which were destroyed by Armenian vandals. The work conducts that, Armenian artists - Martiros Saryan, Setrak Arakelyan, Anush Sahinyan, and Gabriel Gurjyan’s paintings of 1920-1930s describe Goy Mascid (The blue mosque) as a symbol of Irevan city. "Irevan Khanate: Khan Palace, which was destroyed by Armenian vandals" brochure notes that, today Irevan officials cannot show even a single historical monument over 200 years old for foreign guests and researchers in "an ancient Armenian land" and in its "old capital". Historian Guntekin Najafli’s "Irevan khanate: Irevan fortress - a bastion of heroism" book deals with heroic defense of the Irevan fortress with glorious history for more than 400 years, which has resisted to alien races repeatedly and been one of the struggle strongholds against tsarist Russia in the first half of the XIX century. "Rulers of Chukhursad and khans of Irevan" work narrates that, the territory of modern Armenia is called an ancient Azerbaijani land - Chukhursad region in the Middle Ages. Irevan khanate, which was a Azerbaijani state, was ruled by khans who were representatives of local Turkic tribes - Garagoyunlu, Aghgoyunlu, Rumlu, Ustajli, Afshar, Gajar tribes.

MP of Milli Majlis Fazail Ibrahimli, Deputy Director of the Institute of History PhD in History Jabi Bahramov, Guntekin Najafli, Nazim Mustafa and others stressed out the necessity of delivery historical truths, proving Irevan as an ancient Azerbaijani land, to the world community.

It was noted that, numerous fundamental works, monographs, and document bulks, proving genocides committed against Azerbaijanis by Armenians, have been published at the Institute of History in latest years. In addition to Baku, works of the institute are released in Moscow, Istanbul, Ankara, Islamabad, Budapest, Kiev, London, New-York, Rome, even in Los-Angeles.
