"Development of scientific relations, dialogue & cooperation to a new stage: the dialogue and cooperation" international scientific seminar hosts

Baku hosts international scientific seminar on "Development of scientific relations, dialogue & cooperation to a new stage: the dialogue and cooperation" with joint organization support of AMEA and the CIS Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation and CIS member countries.

Before the beginning event, the participants visited the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley Honor and Alley of Martyrs. Then an international seminar began its work.

Opening the event, , President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh noted the importance of the workshop in terms of attracting public attention to the ideas of multiculturalism and strengthening of international relations in the humanitarian sphere.

Stressing that, such a project is implemented with the joint organization of ANAS and the Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS member states for the first time, Academician noted that, the seminar will also create great opportunity for the exchange of experience in the study of natural sciences, humanities and social sciences.

At the event, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke on "The main criterion of Big Science: Dialogue and Cooperation". Noting that, having apprehended from the East humanistic values, Azerbaijan has been developing in the direction of Western enlightenment, Academician said that,, our republic successfully continues its historical development as a country open to dialogue, to show respect for the mutual trust and cooperation to the taking into account the interests of the other side.

After telling about the history of the development of science and culture in Azerbaijan, Academician Isa Habibbeyli stressed that ancient and Middle Ages until the present day in Azerbaijan, located on the Great Silk Road, there are intensive processes of cultural and economic growth.

Noting that, President Ilham Aliyev declared 2016 the "Year of multiculturalism", Academician Isa Habibbeyli added that, organized an international workshop at ANAS together with all its scientific and theoretical significance is even more important in terms of the value of multiculturalism.

Then Academician spoke about the international cooperation of ANAS with the leading scientific centers of CIS and expressed confidence that this event will contribute to the construction of the twenty-first century a fruitful dialogue between the scientific bodies of the participating countries, as well as to the development of mutual cooperation.

The seminar discussed about the importance of inter-cultural humanitarian cooperation in the CIS, about the possibilities of dialogue and relations in the field of education, science and culture, improvement of existing relationships and creating new mechanisms for cooperation.

The event was listened report of the president of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, Academician Tarmo Soomere "Time, modern development and scientific cooperation", Director of the Institute of World Literature named after Maxim Gorky of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Philology, Professor Vadim Polonsky on "Prospects of scientific cooperation in the field of the study of literature and folklore of the peoples of the CIS", President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, corresponding member of the AST Merete Ashirbayeva on "Science of Turkmenistan: prospects for development and possible joint research projects", Vice-President of Moldovan Academy of Science, corresponding member of the MAS Iona plant Hučák "Scientific and technical cooperation in the framework of international scientific programs - one of the the foundations of sustainable development of the Republic of Moldova".

In addition, report on "Study and popularization of the creative heritage of M.A Sholokhov at the present stage" has acted Director of State M.A Sholokhov Museum Reserve Olga Anistratenko, a paper on "New approaches to the study of literary works" - by Deputy Director for Science of the Institute Literary Studies after Yanka Kupala Belarusian National Academy of Sciences, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Eugene Gorodnitsky.

The workshop, which will last two days, attended by senior officials of the Academies of Sciences of CIS member states, as well as Georgia and Estonia, and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
