On December 22, general meeting of the Division of Humanitarian Sciences of ANAS (DHS) was held in an Electron conference hall of the Institute of Literature.

The event was attended by members of AGN, directors, deputy directors and scientific secretaries of scientific institutions.

Opening the session, Academician-Secretary of the Department, Academician Teymur Kerimli brought to the attention that, the event is dedicated to the report on the results of research work carried out in research institutions of AGN in 2016. He noted that, in 2016 for the department was remembered as a year of successful events and useful work.

Then, were listened reports about scientific and organizational activities of research institutions of AGN in 2016.

First, the annual institute report was delivered by Deputy Director for Research of the Institute of Linguistics after Nasimi, Ph.D. Baba Maharramli,who brought to the attention information on the Order Execution condition dated April 9, 2013, and "On the State program on the use of Azerbaijani language in the context of globalization, in accordance with the requirements of time and the development of linguistics in the country "dated May 23, 2012, he spoke in detail about the projects implemented in this direction.

Speaking in relation to the scientific activities of the institute, the reporter noted that, in the reporting year at 12 departments of the institute were performed 106 works on 18 topics, 13 issues and 1 direction. He also informed, about the research and scientific and organizational work carried out in different parts of the Institute of Linguistics. During 2016 the Institute published 3 issues of "Turkoloji" journal, 3 - journal "Research", 2 - "Terminology" journal, 1 - "Proceedings of the Institute of Linguistics."

Director of the Institute Folklore, corresponding member of ANAS Mukhtar Imanov brought to the attention, that in the reporting year were carried out important work in collecting folklore materials at the level of modern scientific achievements, as well as in their preparation, publication and research. It was noted that most of the work performed by the institute have been associated with the execution of decrees and orders of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, as well as state programs.

Speaking in connection with the important results of scientific research, M.Imanov said that, in the reporting year, the scientific studies have been conducted on the 4 issues of 7 subjects, 46 work in the direction of "sources, formation, development and communication patterns of Azerbaijani folk art" at 28 works were completed according to plan. He also brought to the attention of the publishing activities of the staff of institute who were issued abroad books, research programs with participation of structure and international relations.

Director of ANAS Institute of Architecture and Art, corresponding member of ANAS Ertegin Salamzadeh delivered report on structure activity for 2016. He noted that, in accordance with the laid down for the current year plan, work is underway on 77 stages, 77 works, 11 topics and 3 issues. It was reported that, during the year the staff of the Institute of 10 books were published, a collection of 2, 1 handbook, article 272. 45 articles have been published abroad (in the United States, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan), including 5 in journals with impact factor.

The speaker noted that one of the most important achievements of the Institute is the book "Star of the music of the Turkic world - Uzeir Hajibeyli" correspondent member of ANAS Z.Safarova, published by the publishing house "Tulpars".

Then, Deputy Director for Research of the Institute of Manuscripts after Muhammad Fuzuli, Doctor of philology, Professor Pasha Karimov delivered a report on the results of scientific and scientific-organizational activities of the organization for 2016. The speaker spoke about the work carried out by the Institute in connection with the orders and regulations of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as the Academy of management. He also spoke about the results of scientific work, publishing activities, international relations, training of scientific personnel. It was noted that the Institute of Research on 58 works covering 10 topics and 4 problems, and achieved important results were carried out in 2016.

Scientific secretary of the Institute of Literature after Nizami, PhD in Philology Aygun Baghirova, speaking in connection with the annual report of the Institute, first reported on the implementation of orders in connection with the execution of decrees and orders of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Reporter noted that, this year's study by 22 works, spanning 2 areas, 8 issues were carried out at the Institute of Literature, the 15, 21 of which work was done. Important scientific results were achieved on the issue of "Theory of literature, general laws, principles and methodological issues of a comprehensive study." It was reported that during 2016 that, XXVII "Analects" pupleshed, the X-th issue of the journal "Literary relations", 2nd number of "Poetika.izm".

It was noted that, 58 books, 11 books were published under the editorship of the Institute employees are at the publication stage.

Deputy Director for Research of the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature after Nizami, Doctor of Philology Hatira Bashirli, representing an annual report of museum said that, in accordance with the Presidential Order dated 11 January the 2016 declaring "Year of Multiculturalism" in the Republic of Azerbaijan at the museum was carried out a number of important events.

The museum has done important work in the field of data collection, research, storage of materials on the scientific foundations of the Azerbaijani literature and culture, as well as their demonstration in exhibitions and fairs. 4 works, covering the 5 - 11 works spanning the 7, as well as on the second issue in the 5 stages on the historical and theoretical problems of Russian literature in 7 stages was performed.

Reporting on the international museum relations, H.Bashirli brought to the attention, that as a member of the Oxford Academician Union, Director of the Museum, active member of ANAS Rafael Huseynov participated in the events held on the Union line.

She also spoke about the published articles, published books, conferences, meetings and commemorative events, as well as training and other scientific and organizational work.

Speaking in relation to the annual activities of the Director of Museum of the Huseyn Javid’s flat-museum, Doctor of Philology sciences Gulbaniz Babakhanli noted that, according to the plan of scientific research during the reporting period in the museum has done important work in the collection, storage, promotion and research heritage of Huseyn Javid and generally, Javid's family.

According to her, according to the research plan for 2016 the museum staff, individually and collectively worked on a number of research projects. According to the plan, 30 have been carried out works on the direction of 1, 2 issues covering 8 themes. The scientific foundations of the museum dedicated to the works included Huseyn Javid 9 new works in 37 copies.

The bulk, covering materials of republican scientific conference devoted to the 134th anniversary of Azerbaijani poet and thinker, an outstanding playwright Huseyn Javid, reflected study of Azerbaijani scientists, young researchers about Javid’s creativity.

The meeting also observed that, in 2016 held 4 general meeting of the Division of the Humanities and the Department of Social Sciences, 1 general and 7 meeting of the Presidium of the Department of Humanities. The meeting were listening and discussed reports on current topics were discussed scientific and organizational, personnel and current issues, as well as a wide berth was allotted discussion documents of national importance and urgent problems that are on the agenda.

It was noted that, in the reporting year scientific research institutions of AGN , in general, over 204 stages fulfilled 504 working on 36 issues, covering 81 topic. In 2016, over 108 stages 354 works on 56 topics were completed.

After extensive discussions, reports were adopted.
