ANAS Institute of Folklore presented the book "Folklore samples Sharur".
The compilers of the book, which published by "Science and Education", are Director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS Mukhtar Imanov, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Fidan Gasimova and editor is PhD in Philology, associate professor Ilkin Rustamzadeh.
Corresponding member of ANAS M.Imanov wrote the foreword to the book a weighty, telling the specific features of Nakhchivan folklore, the distinctive features of the folklore of other regions of Azerbaijan.
A new edition was prepared on the basis of folklore materials collected by employees of Institute of Folklore Fidan Gasimova and Gulnara Jananmamadova during a business trip to Sharur region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in December 2012. Mythological texts about the origin of the universe, the prophets, the sanctuaries, the names of the centers and areas indicate that the Sharur - the cradle of ancient folklore and culture. The book is devoted to place ethnographic texts about holidays, and wedding traditions Sharur, tales, anecdotes and photographs shrines and places of pilgrimage. In addition, the book includes "The Tale of fleas and lice" a fairy tale "Halva" Bayati and proverbs saved up by Farida Karimova.
