Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Book-album about notable scientist Davud bey Sharifov, who contributed to development of archeology, ethnography and geography of Azerbaijan, including study of material-moral culture, was published.

Author of the book devoted to the 130th anniversary of Davud bey Sharifov are Deputy Director of Science at the National Museum of Azerbaijan History, Dr. History Nargiz Aliyeva, chief of Archeology Fund Nasir Guluzade and a junior researcher of this department Emin Mammadov.

Scientific editor of the publication is museum director Academician Naila Valikhanli.

The book-album devoted to the life and scientific activity of Davud bey Sharifov consists of special sections, as well as photos. Designed for specialists and readers the edition was prepared by using of archive documents from ANAS, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and the museum.

Note that, emergence of museum work and its development in the 20s of XX century was one of the great merits of Davud bey Sharifov.
