Next meeting of the Presidium of ANAS Nakhchivan Branch was held.

Opening the meeting chairman of the Branch, Academician Ismayil Hajiyev informed about defense councils, functioning attached to the Branch, scientific seminar and subject commissions, to the attendees.

Then, chief department of Photometry of celestial bodies of Batabat Observatory PhD in Physics-math Assoc. Prof. Azad Mammadli delivered a lecture on “Moon is the largest satellite in the solar system", dealing with visible movements of the Moon and the Sun, the moon, the process of formation of Moon craters, tides created in the oceans by the Moon etc.

Later on, chief of Scientific-organizing department, PhD in agrarian sciences Orkhan Baghirov informed the attendees on the preparation of quarterly reports of the Nakhchivan Branch in 2017.

Director of the Institute of Bio resources, active member of ANAS Tariyel Talibov and director of the Institute of Natural Sources corresponding member of ANAS Aliaddin Abbasov made speeches on increasing the application of their joint studies to the manufacturing.

Academician Ismayayil Hajiyev has charged institute directors with some tasks due to increase the efficiency of researches in a current year.

At the meeting, head of Fruit - vegetables and viticulture laboratory of the Institute of Bioresources, Doctor of agrarian sciences Varis Guliyev provided information about the state of studies carried out at the laboratory.

Next pressing issue was to make partial changes to the structures of permanent wiki-groups, operating at the Administration and research institutes.

The importance of virtual encyclopedia "Wikipedia" was stressed at the meeting. It is necessary to ensure the accuracy of the information posted in the fields of Nakhchivan historical monuments, literature, culture, folklore, history, technical sciences, economics etc., enrich data, and substantiate correct form of the information to be placed incorrectly.

In closing, numerous topical issues were scheduled.
