National Museum of Azerbaijan History held a presentation of book “The genocide of Azerbaijanis”

 

ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan History held a presentation of book “The genocide of Azerbaijanis” on April 3, 2017.

The event was held by the initiative of the Executive Power of the Sabail district and with the joint organizational support of the Sabail district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (GPU).

The book, prepared on the basis of the reports of the scientific and practical conference "March 31 - Day of Genocide of Azerbaijan", included speeches of professors, students and teachers of the Armenian State Pedagogical University, as well as photographs on the topic.

The event was attended by the head of the executive power Eldar Azizov, the director of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan, academician Nailya Velikhanly, members of the Milli Majlis, representatives of state structures, scientists, educators, art and religion, veterans and pedagogical collectives of the educational institutions of the region.

At the beginning of the event, participants and guests got acquainted with the exhibition of paintings painted by young artists in connection with the genocide.

Opening the event with an opening address, the head of the executive power of the Sabail District Eldar Azizov noted that, in the 20th century the Azerbaijani people were subjected to genocide several times. In 1918, the Armenian invaders, who for many years tried to take possession of the ancestral lands of Azerbaijanis and create here the "Great Armenia", destroyed thousands of civilians in various regions of Azerbaijan for their nationality, and also destroyed a number of national and religious monuments.

Speaker of the Sabail district organization of the NAP, deputy of the Milli Majlis, Professor Jafar Jafarov spoke about the work done in the direction of bringing Armenian terrorism to the international community.

Academician Nailya Velikhanly noted the importance of the book presented in terms of comprehensive study of the genocides committed by Armenian terrorists against the Azerbaijani people. She stressed that exhibits on the topic of genocide, shown in the museum's exposition, play an important role in educating young people and foreign guests.

At the end of the event, the head of the executive power of the Sabail District, Eldar Azizov, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the museum for holding the event, presented the museum with his book "The Genocide of Azerbaijanis".
