Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

An international symposium on "History and Historiography" was held in the capital of Turkey Ankara, dedicated to the memory of a prominent Turkish historian, Professor Khalil Inaljik.

Scientists and historians from Azerbaijan, Russia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Romania, Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Iraq and Algeria took part in the event organized jointly with the Turkish Historical Structure and the Turkey University of Gazi.

In the international symposium the director of the Institute of Caucasus Studies of ANAS, Doctor of historical sciences, Professor Musa Gasimli introduced our country. His report "On some methodological principles of historical research in the Republic of Azerbaijan" aroused great interest of the participants of the event.

The Azerbaijani scientist also presided in one of the symposium sessions.
