At the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, a meeting was held with the Deputy Head of the Informatization of the Education System of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Orkhan Abbasov, representatives of the AzEduNet educational network (Azerbaijan) - Natig Yahyayev, the director of the network, Renat Vitkalov, the managing director Denis Rotkin.

Director of the Institute, Academician-secretary of ANAS, Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Deputy Director for technologies of this scientific institution, Ph.D. in technology, Associate Professor Rashid Alakbarov, head of the International Relations Department, Ph.D. in technology Vugar Musayev, AzScienceNet network administrator Mammad Rashidov took part in the meeting.

The main purpose was to exchange views on the prospects for cooperation between the scientific and computer network of the AzScienceNet Institute and AzEduNet, as well as the integration of science and education.

Academician R.Alguliyev, who informed AzScienceNet, which provides high-quality Internet services to scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS, made a speech, noted that this network provides integration of Azerbaijani science into world science.

Director of the Institute noted that one of the topical issues for improving management efficiency and scientific research in the scientific institutions of ANAS, as well as coordination and direction of their activities is the restructuring of scientific activities with the introduction of ICT. From this point of view, the national operator for scientific and educational networks AzScienceNet is of great importance.

According to R.Alguliyev, in terms of the activities of the Development Concept "Azerbaijan 2020: Looking to the Future" and "National Strategy for the Development of the Information Society in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2014-2020", the issues of expanding AzScienceNet's capabilities were also reflected.

Noting that AzScienceNet has great opportunities in the field of science and education integration, the scientist stressed the establishment of business ties of cooperation between ANAS and the Ministry of Education in this direction. He said that along with scientific and research institutions of ANAS, the country's educational institutions will also be able to use the services of AzScienceNet and the Data Center.

Then, the deputy head of the Department for Informatization of the Education System, Orkhan Abbasov, informed about the Azerbaijani educational network. He noted that AzEduNet provides for connecting secondary schools and professional schools of the country to the network, as well as using the services represented by this network. Among the institutions connected to this network are the Ministry of Education, Baku City Education Department, secondary schools and other educational institutions located in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Shamkir and other cities.

Highly appreciating the establishment and development of cooperation between AzScienceNet and AzEduNet, he noted that the Ministry of Education will provide the necessary support in this process.

Then the guests visited the Educational and Innovation Center of the Institute. Rashid Alekperov, having informed them about the activities of the Center, noted that the teaching of the subject of computer science to all doctoral candidates and dissertators of the country and the process of taking doctoral examinations is carried out here.

In conclusion, it was noted that after ensuring the integration of AzEduNet and AzScienceNet networks for scientists and specialists, doctoral candidates and dissertators of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, higher educational institutions and other educational structures, it will be possible to use AzScienceNet services such as Wi-Fi, Eduroam, Cloud Computing, Hosting.

The meeting also discussed the organization of joint seminars and conferences, the exchange of experience and personnel, and the relevant decisions were taken.
