“Behbud agha Shahtakhtinsky: documents and materials” book was presented by organization of Knowledge Foundation under chairman of Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic at the Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS.

Designer of thebook and Branch chairman Academician Ismayil Hajiyev informed about publicist and social figure Behbud agha Shahtakhtinsky, who had great merits in history of Nakhchivan, and the Shahtakhtinsky. He stated that, in various years B.Shahtakhtinsky worked as a chairman of Executive Committee of the Soviet Union, and "Hummat" Central Committee, and a member of the Emergency Commission of Council of Baku People's Commissars.

Academician I.Hajiyev stressed out B.Shahtakhtinsky’s vital role in giving status of autonomy to the Nakhchivan as well.

Informing about “Behbud agha Shahtakhtinsky: documents and materials” book chairman noted it has been developed based on several docuemts, collected from archives of Azerbaijan and Moscow. The book compiles over 100 letters, telegram, diplomatic correspondence, and Azerbaijan and Russian versions of signed agreements.

Later on, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Knowledge Foundation Ali Hasanov highlighted the new edition as a manifestation of care and attention shown for Behbud agha Shahtakhtinsky, and the Shahtakhtinsky.

At the presentation ecermony Director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology corresponding member of ANAS Fakhraddin Safarli delivered a lecture on “"Behbud agha Shahtakhtinsky: the territorial issue and the status of autonomy in Nakhchivan", Director of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature corresponding member Abulfaz Guliyev on "Behbud agha Shahtakhtinsky: telegrams and articles", Director of secondary school after Heydar Aliyev, a member of Board of Trustees of the Knowledge Foundation Namig Mammadov on “Education issues in the creativity of Behbud agha Shahtakhtinsky”, chief department of Political Affairs of Office of Foreign Affairs Ministry to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Nadir Jafarov on “Behbud agha Shahtakhtinsky: treaties and diplomatic activities" and others.
