Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

By the joint organization of ANAS Nizami Literature Institute and the Scientific and Methodological Center for Cultural Studies of the AR Ministry of Culture and Tourism was held II Republican Scientific Conference "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani Culture" dedicated to the 94th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev on May 3.

Before the event, the conference participants visited the grave of the national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor.

Opening the conference with an opening address, President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh spoke about the glorious life path, fateful decisions and steps taken by the national leader Heydar Aliyev during the period of the country's leadership. It was noted that, as a result of the intense and purposeful activity of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, Azerbaijan has become a state occupying a special place among the developed countries.

Noting that, great merits in the development of Azerbaijani science, education, culture and art belong to the national leader, Academician A.Alizadeh brought to attention that a significant stage of the Academy's development is directly connected with the name of an outstanding statesman. It was stressed that our people are proud of such a person as the national leader Heydar Aliyev and his bright memory is honored with deep respect both in Azerbaijan and outside of our country.

Then ANAS Vice-President, Director of the Nizami Institute of Literature, Academician Isa Habibbeyli delivered a report "Questions of Literature and Art in the Teaching of Azerbaijanis Heydar Aliyev". Noting the great personality of H.Aliyev, his exceptional merits in the fate and history of the Azerbaijani people, Academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the teachings of Azerbaijanism, care and attention that the great leader paid to the development of literature and art.

He noted that, thanks to his bright political mind and talent, the brilliant personality created the modern independent, powerful Azerbaijan, its current realities, defined the ways leading our people into a happy future.

Then the speaker talked about Azerbaijan's great success in the political and economic sphere, the transformation of the region into the leading state under the leadership of a worthy continuer of the political course of the great leader Ilham Aliyev and inclusion in the number of rapidly developing countries of the world.

Further, acted Academician-Secretary of the Department of Social Sciences, Academician Nargiz Akhundova, Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, ANAS corresponding member, Misir Mardanov, head of the Department "Historical ethnography" of ANAS Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, Academician Teymur Bunyadov, Director of the Scientific and Methodological Center culture Studies of the AR Ministry of Culture and Tourism, PhD in political science Asif Usubaliyev told about life and activity of Heydar Aliyev, his glorious struggle, shared voimi memories of national leader.

The conference continued its work in the sections.

Also at the event, were demonstrated presentation, telling about the glorious life of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the successes and achievements of the republic, obtained as a result of his perfect and wise policy, his exceptional merits on the way to the statehood, care and attention that he paid to the development of science, literature , Art.

At the conference, was organized exhibition, consisting of works of painting dedicated to the national leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as from books written by the great leader, and works dedicated to him.
