Minister of the Emergency Situations of AR Kamaladdin Heydarov and President of ANAS, Academic Akif Alizadeh held a joint working meeting. 

Opening the meeting, the president of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh stressed that, in the country in recent years have been carried out important activities in the field of science development, preservation and modernization of scientific and technical potential, training of highly specialized personnel in the field of science and education. Academician noted that, the scientific community of the republic has united to answer global appeals and to ensure food security, domestic scientists conduct the intensive researches aimed at prevention of emergency situations of natural and technogenic character.

Speaking about the activities of the High Technologies Park of ANAS (Park VT) created by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev on November 8, 2016, President of the Academy noted that, thanks to the establishment of the park, favorable conditions for fulfilling important assignments and forming the science-production-state chain as a whole: "In the Park VT" there are opportunities for the implementation of research, development and research, development projects on the basis of proposals of entrepreneurs, as well as for transfer to production Innovative projects implemented on the basis of suggestions of the authors of ideas. Projects implemented here will be selected on the basis of such criteria as export orientation and substitutability of imported goods, and comply with the principles of clean energy and healthy competition".

Minister for Emergency Situations Kemaleddin Heydarov stressed the importance of the meeting, noted that, development of science is one of the components of the political course established by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued and developed today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Speaking about the projects implemented by the Ministry, the activities implemented for the development of relations with international, regional and local organizations, the Minister noted that the inventions of our scientists are an indispensable factor for the economic development of the country, including for effective combating emergencies and ensuring food security, stressed The need to further strengthen the links between the ANAS and Ministry of Emergency Situations.
