Azerbaijani Defense Industry Ministry's "Neftqazavtomat" Scientific-Production Enterprise and the ANAS Institute of Control Systems hosted seminar dedicated to the former scientists, the first winner of the USSR State Prize in the field of technology in Azerbaijan, corresponding member Asgar Abdullayev's 90th anniversary

Opening the event, Director of the Scientific Production Enterprise "Neftgazavtomat", Ph.D in Technology Ali Amirov spoke about the substantial life path, scientific activity and the achievements of the prominent scientist Asker Abdullayev. The main directions of A.Abdullaev's scientific activity were the creation of automatic control systems (ACS) for oil, gas, oil refining, petrochemical facilities. He first proposed multi-level and multi-loop system principles with a single technical, information and organizational support for the automation of the oil industry.

The main directions of A.Abdullaev's scientific activity were the creation of automatic control systems (ACS) for oil, gas, oil refining, petrochemical facilities. He first proposed multi-level and multi-loop system principles with a single technical, information and organizational support for the automation of the oil industry.

It was noted that, for the first time in the former USSR under the guidance of the scientist the project of complex automation of the oil producing enterprise was developed, the first system of technological processes "Cracking" ACS was put into commercial operation, in these systems the principle of adaptive control was realized for the first time.

At the event, Director of the Institute of Control Systems, Academician Telman Aliyev emphasized the role of the scientist in the development of his instrument-making industry in Azerbaijan. Under the direct supervision and with the participation of A.Abdullayev, the pilot plant of the Research and Design Institute "Neftchimiyaavtomat" in Baku was thoroughly reconstructed, in the 1980s, in the Ali-Bayramli, plants were built "Instrument-making" and "Automation and Telemechanics" n the beginning of 1990 in the city of Sumgait the NGO "Neftgazavtomat" was built and commissioned.

Noting that, scientists have created a large scientific school in the field of automation, T.Aliyev said that, at present the wards of this school are performing successfully in many countries of the world.

It was brought to the attention that the author of 19 monographs, more than 200 scientific articles, more than 60 inventions - A.Abdullayev wrote the first textbook "Automatic regulation" in the Azerbaijani language. Under his leadership defended more than 50 candidate and doctoral dissertations.

Professor Faig Abdullayev said that, under the leadership and with the participation of a prominent scientist fundamental research and development work was carried out, and extensive problems of automated control systems were solved. During the leadership of A.Abdullaev, the "Neftgazavtomat" turned into the main oil producing enterprise of the USSR Ministry of Instrument Engineering, were automated on the basis of systems and means 80% of the USSR's oil production facilities.

It was noted that A.Abdullayev was the first laureate of the USSR State Prize in the field of technology in Azerbaijan, laureate of the USSR Council of Ministers Prize, and also was awarded the title of Honored Engineer.

At the event, acted Professor Kamil Aidazadeh, Tofik Rzayev, Ph.D Adil Javadov, Sabir Osmanov, a member of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan, scientist Nariman Gasimzadeh and others shared their memories about the scientist.

In conclusion, the daughter of the scholar Gular Abdullayeva, speaking on behalf of the family, expressed gratitude to the organizers and participants of the event for respect and respect for the memory of their father.
