Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Scientific conference devoted to the chairman of Azerbaijan Composers’ Union (ACU), People Artist, and corresponding member Firangiz Alizadeh’s 70th jubilee was held.

At the event, secretary of ACU, Honored Cultural Figure Zemfira Gafarova’s lecture on “Firangiz Alizadeh’s role in development of Azerbaijan music culture” was listened. Lecturer noted that, F. Alizadeh who deserved to the various titles and honorary names is one of the composers recognizing Azerbaijan music to the world.

It was brought to mind that, in addition to being a notable composer and musician F. Alizadeh was engaged in pedagogical activity. She always cares of young composers.

Honored Cultural Figure, Professor at the Gazi University of Turkey Aflatun Nematzadeh spoke of composer’s activity in Turkey. In 1992, Firangiz khanum was ordered to compose "Empty Cradle" ballet by Turkish state. This three-act play, which was staged on the occasion of opening ceremony of the Mersin Opera and Ballet Theater, has achieved a great success. F. Alizadeh is the first professional ballet composer in Turkey.

Lectures on topics "On the national sources of Firangiz Alizadeh’s plays composed for cello”, "On the manifestation of the ethno specific concepts in creativity of Firagiz Alizadeh”, “Firangiz Alizadeh: conceptuality of her creativity and conceptuality in her creativity”, “Firangiz Alizadeh as an artistic director of the international festivals and concerts projects” etc.
