Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of ANAS after M.Naghiyev has celebrated notable scientist Heydar Afandiyev’s 110th jubilee.

Vice-President of ANAS, institute’s director and Academic Dilgam Taghiyev made speech on Heydar Afandiyev’s efficient merits in geochemistry science of Azerbaijan, innovations contributed to the chemistry and his achievements. Scientist’s geochemical studies won fame to him. Meanwhile, he headed for the institute as a skilled organizer for a long time. During his governance, institute’s research activity has enhanced, laboratories for chemistry of rare elements, analytic chemistry etc. were organized here, he noted.

A lecture on “Heydar Afandiyev’s role in development of geochemistry in Azerbaijan” was listened as well.

Academic Vasif Babazadeh, Prof. Hikmat Mahmud and other reporters shared their memories about scientist.
