Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

A group of delegation led by Director of the Institute of Economy of the Chinese Social Academy of Sciences, Prof. Pei Changhong, visited Institute of Economy of ANAS.

Meeting with institute’s director, Professor Nazim Imanov has discussed the issues of enhancing cooperation between two parties and conducting joint studies.

P.Changhong stressed out the cooperative relations between two scientific bodies at the high level and steps were taken for reinforcing further ties.

Chief department of the institute, Ph.D in Philosophy, Assoc. Prof. Mayis Gulaliyev delivered a lecture on “The macroeconomic effects of model creative state intervention in the Chinese economy”, in which analyzed economic processes happening in Chinese economy.

Later on, an extended meeting by participation of scientists from Azerbaijan State Economy University and Azerbaijan Cooperation University took place at the Main building of ANAS.

Professor P. Changhong made a presentation on "China's current economic situation: achievements and prospects", spoke of development level of China's economy, and economic policy carried out in his country. He noted that, at present, foreign investment in China's $ 1 trillion and this figure is third in the world. P. Changhong stated readiness of his country to reinforce economic ties via Azerbaijan.

Presentation met with interest by attendees and discussed.

Then, Academic Ziyad Samadzadeh made speech on processes in Chinese economy and essence of economic policy carried out. Academic highlighted the necessity of studying and applying Chinese economic experience in Azerbaijan.

In closing, P. Changhong was presented a special memorial diploma of the Institute of Economy.
