Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Meeting was held at Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory of ANAS devoted to December 1 - World Civil Defense Day.

The purpose of the meeting was increasing knowledge of observatory personnel in emergency situations and civil defense.

Chief of staff of observatory Bahadur Abdullayev noted that, World Civil Defense Day was celebrated on March 1 every year in all over the world since 1972 and Azerbaijan entered to the organization in 1993.

He said that since 1995, the World Civil Defense Day each year was dedicated to a specific topic and that the main task of defense organizations was to ensure civil preparation in emergency situations.

Then questions, answers , comments, and suggestions were sounded .
