Institute of Information Technology hosted a presentation of a new website of the journal of the ANAS series "Chemistry" - akj.az.

The ceremony attended byANAS Vice-President, Academician-secretary of the Department of Chemical Sciences, Director of the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, Academician Dilgam Tagiyev, the head of the Information, Patents and Innovation Department of the Institute, Ph.D in Chemistry Rena Mirzaeva and Academician-secretary of ANAS, Director Institute of Information Technology, Academician Rasim Alguliyev and specialists of the Institute.

At the beginning, Academician Rasim Alguliyev said that one of the main tasks facing us is to bring the websites of the scientific journals of the institutes and organizations of ANAS into line with the calls of the present and international standards.

Then, Academician Dilgam Tagiyev noted, the importance of the high quality of journals published at ANAS. It was noted that, one of the main conditions for the inclusion of any scientific journal in the authoritative scientific base of "Thomson Reuters" is the availability of a web site that meets modern requirements.

Academician D.Tagiyev expressed gratitude to the specialists of the Institute for the merits in the preparation of the website of the journal "Chemistry", the editor-in-chief of which he is. The scientist also expressed his confidence in the development of joint cooperation in the future.

Gulnara Nabibekova, head of the department of the Institute of Information Technology, noted that the site akj.az was brought into line with the approved resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan "Requirements for creating information resources of the Internet of state bodies and their management" and the requirements of the Special State Security Service of Azerbaijan, Complete site security.

The programmer of the institute Sarhan Yolchuev informed in detail about the website akj.az. He said that, the main page of the site consists of the sections "Editorial Board", "About the Journal", "Archive" and others. According to him, a site based on the latest technologies, there is a large-scale search engine, a site map and useful links. On the main page you can see the articles published in the last issue of the magazine.

Further, S.Yolchuyev, having informed about the system prepared for online posting of articles in the magazine, also explained the rules for posting and editing articles, including sending feedback.

In conclusion, discussions were held in connection with the presentation of the site. Associate Professor Rashid Alekperov, corresponding member of ANAS, doctor of technical sciences Ramiz Alguliyev, senior researcher of the institute, doctor of philosophy in technology Zarifa Dzhabrailova, who participated in the discussions, made their comments and suggestions.
