Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On July 18, a prominent economist scientist, head of the laboratory of the Institute of Management Systems, correspondent member of ANAS, Professor Akif Farhad oglu Musayev is 70 .

Dr. Musayev was born in Gorgan village, Fizuli district, Republic of Azerbaijan in 1947. He graduated from Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of S.M.Kirov Azerbaijan state university and continued his post-graduate studies at the Central Mathematical Economics Institute of SSR Academy of Sciences in Moscow.

Since June 30, 2001 Dr. Musayev is a corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Akif Farhad oglu Musayev has a PhD in Economic Sciences and is a Founder of Azerbaijan University.

Since 2001, under the guidance of A. Musaev, the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS has the Laboratory of Economic and Mathematical Modeling of Fiscal Policy.

In 1999, he was the head of the Training Center of the Ministry of Taxes, in 1999-2000 - Head of the Information and Analytical Department of the Main State Tax Inspectorate, in 2000-2007 - Head of the Main Tax Policy and Strategic Studies Department of the Ministry of Taxes, in 2001-2007 - Head of the Department of Taxes and Taxation at Azerbaijan State Economic University, in 2011-2013 - Head of the Main Tax Policy and Strategic Research Department of the Ministry Tax service, in 2013-2015 - adviser on tax policy of the Minister of Taxes.

The scientist is the author of about 400 scientific works, including 9 monographs, 15 textbooks and teaching aids, 12 subject programs. His merits in the training of scientific personnel also deserve attention. Under his leadership, 5 doctors of sciences, 34 doctors of philosophy were trained.

He is the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Silk Road", a member of the editorial board and the structures of more than 10 local and foreign scientific journals.

Areas of research A. Musayev - modeling of transport processes, modeling of interaction between the oil machine-building industry and modeling of fiscal policy.

The scientist-economist by the order of the President of the country Ilham Aliyev dated February 9, 2007 was awarded the medal "For distinction in the State Service". For his contribution to the world science and education, the Board of the Cambridge International Biographical Center of Great Britain and the American Biographical Institute of North Carolina awarded him "International Diploma of Honor" and "The Award of an Outstanding Leader".

He is an Honorary Doctor of the Caucasus University of Georgia.
