Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On August 6, Azerbaijan State Agrarian University hosted a mourning ceremony for prominent biologist, Honored Scientist, director of the Institute of Plant Protection and Technical Proceedings of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician Siddiqa Rza gizi Mammadova.

Rector of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, correspondent member of ANAS Ibrahim Jafarov spoke at the event and spoke about the efficient scientific activity of prominent scientist Siddiqa Mammadova, exceptional scientist's contribution to the development of biological sciences in our country. She said that academician S. Mammadova was a scientist who had comprehensive knowledge of plant protection, including the entomology.

Academician of the Ganja Department of ANAS, Academician Fuad Aliyev noted that academician S. Mammadova was well-known for his numerous researches in the field of agricultural science and has contributed to the development of science in Azerbaijan. The research on the actual issues of the scientist has helped to solve a number of important tasks facing the agrarian science in the republic.

Speaking at the ceremony, deputy of minister of agriculture Seyfaddin Talibov said that scientist has successfully linked her pedagogical activity with her rich scientific creativity. For many years she has made a great contribution to the preparation of highly qualified personnel at the Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute.

Elmar Valiyev, the head of Ganja City Executive Power, also noted that S.Mammadova's public activity is also commendable. He said that he was elected a member of the local Soviet and the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
