Director of Sheki Regional Science Center of ANAS, PhD in Physics Yusif Shukurlu, Head of Department of Cell Silkworm Selection, PhD in Biology Gudret Bakirov and employee of Molecular Biophysics Department Evgeniya Bakirova participated in the VI international scientific-technical conference on "Solving actual issues".

An international conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Uzbekistan's Scientific Research Institute of Natural Fibers, exploring the ways of rebuilding and developing silkworm, applying modern technologies in silkworming, the method of dyeing plant and protein fibers with ecologically clean dyes from plants and the development of these technologies and other topics.

Leading experts in the study of natural fibers from Poland, Korea, Japan, China, Russia, Tajikistan, India, and other countries, famous silkworm scientists attended the conference.

The work of the conference was held in three sections - "Silk Technology", "Technology of textile materials", "Chemistry, theory and economy of textiles". At the international event Y. Shukurli made reports on the theme "Perspectives of increasing the amount of fibroids in biosynthesis process" and Bakirova made reports on "Silkworming and silk processing".

At the end of the meeting, Natural Researches of Uzbekistan and Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of silk.
