ANAS will be the first held the scientific research on the Caspian Sea islands.
During the research, by the Institute of Oil and Gas will study the process of soil formation and volcanism on the islands of the Caspian Sea, and the Institute of Zoology-Flora, Fauna and Landscapes will study the islands. Initial research started on the island of Chilov. Continuation of research is provided for the islands of Kur Dili, Khara Zira, Boyuk Tava, Kichik Tava and Gil. The expedition will last two years. The expedition from 12 people includes soil scientists, geologists, landscape scientists and geobotanists.
Recall that, 80 percent of these islands are of volcanic origin. When implementing an appropriate initiative, a drone device will be used for the first time. So, the territory will be monitored by drones and the number of plants, animals and birds is studied. These studies conducted in the Caspian Sea are a great event in the history of ANAS, as the flora and fauna of the islands of the Caspian Sea have never been studied.
