During the research held jointly by the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography and American scientists in the village of Gurdasar, Lerik region were found a cemetery and a settlement relating to the 5th century BC.
The head of the expedition, the leading researcher of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy on History Jeyhun Eminli noted that, the research work on the territory has been going within six years already. In recent studies, earlier samples of the cemetery were more common on the rocky part of the hill.
According to J.Eminli, in the graves were found weapons, beads and ceramic objects of everyday life. On the revealed samples of material culture is traced the cultural influence of the empires of that time.
