Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On September 22, ANAS Presidium approved the "Action Plan of ANAS on implementation of instructions reflected in strategic road maps for the main sectors of the economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan."

In his speech at the event, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Dilgam Tagiyev noted that, were set important tasks for ANAS on improving Presidential Decree dated December 6, 2016 on "Action Plan of ANAS on implementation of instructions reflected in strategic road maps for the main sectors of the economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan".

He informed that, the decree of the Presidium of ANAS dated February 22, 2017 gave the necessary instructions related to the discussion of these tasks in the scientific research institutions of the Academy and the drawing up of an appropriate plan of measures. Academician Dilgam Tagiyev also added that, the Permanent Working Commission of the Presidium of ANAS was established to analyze the adopted decisions and read recommendations and proposals under the leadership of Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev. Academician noted that, the commission had prepared a plan of activities of ANAS for the fulfillment of assignments reflected in the strategic road maps.

The meeting of the Presidium spoke about the goals set in the strategic road maps in the main areas. The main goals were determined in accordance with strategic road maps on the prospects of the national economy, including the development of the oil and gas industry, including the chemical industry, the production and processing of agricultural products, the production of consumer goods at the level of small and medium enterprises, the development of heavy industry and engineering, tourism industry, development of telecommunications and information technologies, development of public services, etc.

After extensive discussions, the plan of events of ANAS was approved. The organization of monitoring of the plan of activities and activities carried out in research institutes and the necessary coordination of actions between performers were entrusted to the Standing Working Committee, and the heads of the respective institutions were responsible for monitoring the implementation of proposals put forward during the discussion of strategic road maps.
