Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On October 2, delegation of the institute of World History Chinese Academy of Social (CASS) Sciences visited Institute of Oriental Studies named after academician Ziya Bunyadov.

The delegation included Doctor of Historical Sciences Van Syatszyuy, Doctor of Historical Sciences, head of the Department of Russian and Eastern European History of CASS, Joe Aytszyun and Chju Szyanli.

Initially Chinese scientists met with the staff of the Asia-Pacific region department of the Institute of Oriental Studies. Director of the Institute of Science History of ANAS, Doctor of History Maryam Seyidbeyli and Chinese Director of Confucius Institute under the Azerbaijan University of Languages Li Jinhua also attended the meeting.

Zenfira Shikhalibeyli, the Head of Asia-Pacific Region Department of the Institute, PhD in Philology, informed the guests about the department.

Then the staff of the department - PhD in Geography Rafig Abbasov and Ulker Aliyeva-Abdullaeva talked about their research on China.

Guests from the Institute of World History of the Institute of Oriental Studies and the Institute of Oriental Studies can say that they can greatly benefit both sides, which will help scientists increase the effectiveness of their research work.

Finally, the two organizations exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects, and made a number of proposals.
