Well-known scientist-professor, Professor Ali Rajabli's 90th jubilee

On October 3, National Museum of Azerbaijan History hosted a scientific session dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the head of the department of science and numerology of epigraphy, Honored worker of culture, prominent historian-scientist, numismatist, Doctor of History, Professor Ali Rajabli.

Director of the museum, academician Naila Velikhanli spoke about the unique creativity of the scientist and valuable contributions to the Azerbaijani culture.

"Rajabli devoted half century of his life to museum work and study of Azerbaijani numismatics," academician N.Valikhanli said, noting that he was one of the founders of the museum's scientific exposition and was one of the leading scientists in the field of geography studies in the republic. As a result of his efforts, more than 150,000 coins and other material cultural monuments are kept in the Numismatics Fund of the museum.

Later, vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli spoke about the achievements of the scientist in his research on the history. Rajabli was awarded the prize of Abbasqulu Aga Bakikhanov for his contribution to scientific research and promotion of the numismatic heritage of Azerbaijan at the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS on April 19. I.Habibbayli spoke about the importance of scientific works of one of the leading figures of Azerbaijani numismatics and congratulated scientist on his 90th birthday.

Then director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, doctor of historical sciences Maisa Rahimova spoke about the work done by outstanding scientist in archeology and numismatics.

During the event, friends and colleagues who were closely acquainted with the scientist shared their memories of her.

At the end of the event, memorable presents were given to A.Rajabli.
