Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Faculty of History and Geography of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University held a meeting with the Director of ANAS Institute of Geography after Academician H.Aliyev, Academician Ramiz Mammadov.

First, Academician R. Mammadov informed about the research work carried out in his institution. He noted that, according to the Order of President Ilham Aliyev, signed in 2016, the three-volume book "Geography of the Republic of Azerbaijan", over which the staff of the Institute of Geography worked for many years, was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of science.

Academician R. Mammadov, also touched upon the activities of the Azerbaijan Geographic Society. He stressed that, this structure plays a big role in studying and propagandizing the geographical conditions, nature and natural resources of our republic.

In conclusion, R. Mammadov responded the questions of students.

Deputy Director of the Institute on Scientific Work, Ph.D. in Geography, Assistant Professor Maharram Hasanov and Head of the Department of Education, Ph.D in Geography, Associate Professor Museib Yunusov also attended the meeting.
