Next meeting of Presidium of Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS was held.

The head of the department, academician Ismail Hajiyev opened the event with introductory remarks and familiarized the participants with the issues on the agenda.

Head of the Department of Caucasian Studies of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology of the derpartment, PhD in history Emin Shikhaliyev's "Terrorism in international politics" was listened. The report focuses on the geopolitical interests of the great powers, the international terrorism policy they have created in the world to reach their political goals and the targeting of the Muslim countries. It was noted that terrorism is a planned action of violence aimed at achieving political goals.

Then, the Head of Scientific-organizational department of the Division, PhD in Agrarian Sciences Orkhan Bagirov made a report on the results of scientific research conducted in Nakhchivan Department in 2017.

Director of the Institute, correspondent member of ANAS Abulfaz Guliyev told about preparations for the collection of articles "Baba Nematullah Nakhchivani: destiny and art" at the Institute of Art, Language and Literature.

At the end a number of staff and current issues were considered.
