ANAS Institute of Additives Chemistry after A.M.Guliyev has organized an excursion for students of secondary school after A.Alakbarov # 244.

At the meeting with Director of Institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev the guests were provided with information about the history, scientific directions of activities and the successes of the scientific institution.

He noted that, since 1965 at the institute are studied the scientific basics of the synthesis of various functional additives to improve the properties of lubricants, fuels and special fluids. Fundamental research is also being carried out in the field of creating high-quality lubricating oils and special liquids for various purposes, identifying and effectively using new sources of raw materials in connection with their production. The scientist noted that new additives received at the institute are used to prevent oxidation, corrosion, deterioration, as well as biological damage.

Further, head of the Department of the Public Relations of the ANAS Presidium Office of Public Relations and Science Popularization, Sabuhi Kahramanov brought to the attention that, Olympiads, contests and incentive events held in the Academy in recent years with the aim of increasing the interest of the younger generation to science received wide scope.

He said that, along with these events, excursions organized for students and students in the institutes of ANAS, in particular, scientific institutions dealing with chemical science are of great importance.

Schoolchildren get acquainted with the work of the Laboratory of Additive Synthesis and the theoretical foundations of the mechanism of action of the Institute. Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Chemistry, Ph.D. in Chemistry, Associate Professor Afsun Sujayev told to the students about the methods of fine organic synthesis used in the laboratory, the mechanism of operation of devices and equipment synthesized by physiologically active substances.
