Head of Laboratory of Energy-efficient Radiation Processes at the Institute of Radiation Problems, correspondent member of ANAS Islam Mustafayev attended Regional Consultation Workshop held in Budapest, European Environment Bureau.

Seminar reviewed the main provisions of the state of the environment in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia to be organized by the UN Environment Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya, on December 4-6, 2017.

Islam Mustafayev expressed his attitude towards the current ecological situation in Azerbaijan and the whole South Caucasus.

During the meeting, I. Mustafayev together with representatives of Ukraine and Kosovo offered to report on the assessment of the damage caused to the environment as a result of military operations and to appeal to the discussion of the UN Environment Assembly.
